Repair worn bores on heavy earth moving and construction equipment.

This 22 lb portable BoreWelder can be mounted on the worn part and can fit inside the bore to be repaired. It offers both rotary and axial motion. As the torch rotates, it deposits one continuous layer of metal inside the bore. A variety of torches allows buildup of bores from .5" to 54" (1.3 cm to 137 cm).

The Bortech Corporation’s Model 1202 Borewelder increases productivity by reducing downtime in the field and opening up floor space in the shop.Very heavy parts are no longer lifted onto a turntable, but kept on the floor, thereby creating a safer shop environment. The 1202 breaks away from the industry standard by rotating the welding apparatus around the part.

Bortech's Entry Level Borewelder is the DOZER Model

The Dozer offers simplified operation using sprial technology and can be used with Bortech's Dozer wire feeder, or with any wire feeder that provides burnback capability. The welding torch is simply attached to a lead screw- as the screw rotates, so does the torch. For every 360° of rotation, .125" of axial feed is attained. The only adjustments needed
are rotation speed and wire speed.

System for I.D. cladding of nozzles, tubes and other circumferential components

BoreClad provides void free welds by combining GMAW welding with automated axial feed and rotation of chuckable parts. Workpieces of up to 36” length with 18” swing can be clad with stainless steel, Inconel, or other exotic metals. Other size devices can be accommodated on custom BoreCladders.

Compared to hand welding, which leaves unevenly stressed weld beads due to frequent stopping and starting, distortion of the workpiece is minimized and the quality of the weld is increased. As an added bonus, weld time is also significantly reduced.IThe Model 613-L Welding Lathe uses the same, proven, “stepping” indexing technology that Bortech pioneered in its flagship line of BoreWelders. The “stepping” method holds the torch stationary while the workpiece rotates a full 360° , applying the weld in a single plane. The torch then “steps”, and applies another 360° weld in the next parallel plane, repeating the process until the workpiece is completed.
